Faro de Muxia
Located on the Muxia rocks, facing the Atlantic Ocean, you will find the famous lighthouse Faro de Muxia. This famous lighthouse has also given the Camino its name – Camino dos Faros. Surrounded by flat rocks, the legend tells that these are magical rocks that would never slip into the sea.
Coastal Landscapes
Hiking in Galicia, and especially along the coast, is the best way to see the wilderness of this region. Green hills and wild seascapes will have your soul reconnected and singing all the way to Finisterre. It is certainly a nice place for self-reflection.
Local Seafood Cuisine
Since you are on a coastal route, the main thing to discover here is seafood. Try some fried octopus, marinated ‘a la Gallego’. You can also get some grilled prawns. Accompany these dishes with a glass of wine, a Finca de Malpica, a red wine made with Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo grapes.

This walking day is the longest of the route but is also completely flat, making it comfortable. We will traverse the entire Ría de Camariñas, with gentler landscapes and beautiful villages providing a new perspective on the route. In the second part of the day, peaceful sandy beaches at the mouth of the River Grande and the incomparable Praia do Lago lead us to Muxía, where we will reach the Santuario da Barca after ascending Monte Corpiño.
